Terms and Conditions – JAD Driving Tuition.
The terms below represent the conditions upon which driving lessons are offed by myself Jurek Jerzy Dabrowski – Approved Driving Instructor and my driving school JAD Driving Tuition.
General Conduct – I will always aim to be courteous, polite, tidy and punctual. I will behave in a professional and ethical manner at all times. My car will be well maintained, clean and tidy. It will also be fitted with dual-controls and insured as a driving school vehicle. Any claims made against me as the result of an accident will be restricted to the terms of the insurance policy which is current at the time of the incident. Details of the policy will be made available on request. My car is a no Smoking area.
Qualifications – I am a qualified DSA Approved driving instructor. This involves passing a 3 part test and a Criminal Record Bureau check.
Driving License and Eyesight – The learner must hold a valid driving licence (provisional or full), which must be produced on their first lesson. The learner must also check that they can read a number plate at a distance of 20.5 metres (i.e. 67 feet – about 5 car lengths) with glasses if normally worn.
Payments – Lessons must be paid at the time of the lesson or in advance of any lesson starting. Payment for discounted block bookings is to be paid in full before the start of first lesson. Pre-paid lessons should be taken within 12 months of payment. If the pupil does not use all the prepaid lessons I will refund the balance.
Lesson Cancellation – I require 24 hours’ notice to cancel a booking of a lesson to avoid the lesson fee. I reserve the right to cancel or postpone a lesson if I consider the weather or road conditions are unsuitable or dangerous.
The Driving Test Appointments and Use of Car – Driving tests appointments are to be booked by the pupil. Once the test is booked please let me know as soon as possible to check my availability. I will always give priority to a test over driving lessons. If I have taken a booking for another test I will not be able to change it. I do need at least one week notice to be able guarantee I can fit in a driving test
I reserve the right to refuse to allow my car to be used for the driving test if in my opinion the pupil is not test standard.
Punctuality – It is in the pupil’s interest to be ready for the lesson at appointed time to avid loss of the lesson time. If I am delayed due to unforeseen circumstances or traffic I will make up the lost lesson time at the end of the lesson or on the following lesson.
Learner Comfort and Safety – For comfort and safety pupils are advised to wear suitable footwear and clothing which does not restrict movement. Pupil must also take note of any medication they are taking that may affect their ability to drive safely and inform me before taking any lesson booked.
Complaints – In the event of a complaint I will make all efforts to resolve the problem directly. Please notify me as soon as possible so that a satisfactory solution can be reached.
Your statutory rights – These terms and conditions will not reduce your statutory rights relating to faulty or incorrectly described goods or services provided. If you have any doubts about your statutory rights please contact your local Trading Standards Department or Citizen’s Advice Bureau.
